Going Beyond The Sun Sign: The Importance of Divisional Charts in Understanding Your Life's Journey

Many of you were asking various questions regarding Divisional Charts. So in this post, I’m answering those questions with basic introduction of divisional charts, and how to use them to make better life decisions.

What Is A Divisional Chart?

Our birth chart show us the planetary positions in the sky at the time of our birth. It tells us the details such as which planets were in which signs and nakshatras, at what time…

Generally, we study birth chart to know more about a person’s nature, personality, money, siblings, house, wealth, income, job, business, expenses, spouse, kids, marriage, etc things.

But the question arises…

Exactly when are we going to get the results?
Good results or bad results?
How to enhance the good results and avoid the bad results?

We can’t rely solely on our birth chart for these answers. That’s why, we have to study the advanced level charts, also known as, Divisional Charts.

Divisional charts are considered to be a powerful tool and are used along with the birth chart to gain a deeper understanding of your life.

They provide additional information and insights into specific areas of a your life that you can't tell from just birth chart.

Let's see how they guide us...

How Divisional Charts Get Created? Do I Need To Give Any Other Details To Create Them?

No. You don't have to give any other details to create them. BECAUSE all divisional charts are created from the Birth Chart itself.

There is mathematical calculations involved in the process. You don't have to know any of that to get benefited. All calculations are only for the astrologers.

Divisional charts, also known as Varga Kundali, are specialized charts used in Vedic astrology to gain deeper insights into specific areas of our life.

They provide a more detailed analysis of various aspects of our life such as marriage, children, fortune, career, relationships, finances, health, and spirituality.

The Great Sages Maharshi Parashar and Jaimini have written about these methods in their ancient Indian Vedic Astrology texts, Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra and Jaimini Sutra, respectively.

They divided the birth chart and created advanced level versions of the chart. There are total 12 houses in a birth chart. So if you divide one house by 2, you get a HORA (D2), if you divide it by 3, it's known as DRESHKAN(D3), if you divide it by 4, it's CHATURTHAMSA(D4), etc.

Just like these there are special 16 types of Divisional Charts in a system which is called as SHODASHVARGA.

All these ancient sages have studied these systems on a deeper levels and have made things easy for us to refer and get benefited.

Here Are The 16 Charts Names, And The Results You Get By Studying Each One of Them:
